Admissions PROCESS
The following is a step-by-step guide to admissions for Chatham Academy:
- Contact the principal’s office at 354-4047 or via email at channaford@chathamacademy.com to arrange a visit at your convenience. This will give you the opportunity to tour our campus, meet the principal and discuss the needs of your student. You will receive all application materials at this visit.
- Complete the application and obtain copies of your student’s records. We require a current (within the last three years) battery of psycho-educational testing results (intelligence, cognitive, and achievement) and a copy of your current school records. Return these items to Chatham Academy with your $50 application fee.
- Once all records, the application and the fee have been accepted, you will be contacted to schedule a parent interview and placement testing.
- A decision will be made as to whether or not Chatham Academy is right for your student based on the psycho-education testing, interviews with the parent and student, school records and the ability of your student to benefit from our specialized learning environment.
